Topazo : What is it?
| Topaz is a mineral with a characteristic yellow or wine shade. Rated 8 on the Mohs hardness scale, it is a very hard mineral, but it can be dented or split by strong and sudden blows. It comes in a variety of colors including white, blue, red, pink, brown, green, and gray. It is commonly used in rings, earrings, pendants, and necklaces.

Fake topaz stones: If you are looking for real topaz stones, do not get those with prefixes such as “Golden,” “Brazilian,” “Citrine,” Bahia,” and “Madeira,” as they are just heat-treated citrine stones with the same golden hue of real topaz.
Cut: To accentuate their extended prisms and make them look more pretty, choose elongated-cut topaz stones in oval, pear, cushion, or emerald styles. |
