Guide to Colognes
Colognes add fragrance to the body and provide a light, fresh feeling. They primarily distinguished from perfumes by their composition – perfumes are oil-based, while colognes are water-or alcohol-based. Because alcohol is volatile, colognes dry quickly and leave the scent on the skin. While perfume scents can last all day, colognes are easily washed off and have to be reapplied frequently. Colognes are commonly associated with men's fragrances, although women's and children's colognes are also available. They are commonly sold in bottles or spray canisters. |
